The choir is already preparing music for the Advent and Christmas season. On Sunday morning, December 14th, there will be a service of Advent Lessons and Carols - the choir will offer 4 beautiful anthems as we prepare for the Christ Child. Please remember that the Festal Eucharist for Christmas Eve will be at 10 pm and the choir will sing three-inspiring anthems for that service. The children will sing at the 5 pm Family Service and will deliver all the animals and the Holy Family to the crèche. On Sunday, December 28th as we continue the Christmas celebration, the 10 am service will be Christmas Lessons and Carols - come and join in the singing of beautiful Christmas carols.
On Sunday, November 9th, I am thrilled to be singing once again with my English accompanist and dear friend, Catherine Joy Moon. This afternoon of song is eclectic, with music from Mozart to Lehar please join us. And, on December 7th, the exquisite harp music of Janet Witman will be heard as we witness the astral beauty of the skies over Bethlehem at the time of Christ's birth. Please see the enclosed flyer for details of both concerts.
The reception after the September concert was superb as always - please help make the next two concerts just as welcoming and delicious. Sign up sheets for the receptions are on the bulletin board across from the lounge and in the ambulatory. It is very helpful to know what is being contributed and much appreciated!
