Easter Study Groups Continue!
During the Season of Easter our Trinity Study Groups are reading and discussing "Eternal Life: A New Vision," the latest book by The Rt. Rev John Shelby Spong, who retired as bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark(NJ) in 2000. Compelling, controversial, substantive, provocative, and original are some of the words that have been used to describe Spong’s thoughts and writing. He has been surrounded by controversy as he has labored on the leading edge of liberal Christian thought as well as spearheading the movement to bring blacks, women, and homosexuals into the full life of the church. Whether or not you will agree with his theology, we think you will find his writing and position as well as our discussions to be thought provoking.
