Liturgy, Worship and Music
Trinity's Music Program

Trinity's music ministry is a vital part of the church's worship and liturgy.  We believe that the music of Trinity reflects our Anglican musical tradition while continuing to enhance our worship service today.   We are happy and blessed to have two excellent and gifted musicians to lead our music program and direct its development.

Cora Gamelin-Osenbach
Cora Gamelin-Osenbach is our Director of Music and Organist.  Mrs. Gamelin-Osenbach is currently in her eighth year as director of the music program at Trinity.  As Music Director, she is also responsible for planning the Concert Series which began its first full year in the fall of 2007.   She previously served as organist and choir director from 1980 to 1993.  She left the post at that time to concentrate on her singing career.  Creating a role written for her, she made her European debut in Bonn, Germany, followed the next year by her Carnegie Hall debut.  There she sang in a concert version of "A Coal Region Opera" written by Paul Miller.

She has sung many recitals throughout Schuylkill County, Berks County, the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and Rhode Island.  Her list of solo performances include the Washington, DC, Bach Festival, appearances with the Schuylkill Symphony Orchestra, the Schuylkill Choral Society, Wilkes University Choral concerts, Bach and Handel Chorale and the Concerto Soloists of Philadelphia.

A graduate of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, Mrs. Gamelin-Osenbach teaches voice privately in her Studio for Vocal Excellence at Trinity Church in Pottsville and at her home in Orwigsburg.

Franklin M. Osenbach
Franklin M. Osenbach is our dedicated Choirmaster.  Mr. Osenbach holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Bloomsburg University and a Master of Music in Voice Performance degree from West Chester University.  He is currently in his thirteenth year as choirmaster of the Trinity choir.  Previously, he was the chorus director at Penn State University, Schuylkill Haven, PA.

He has been heard as a tenor soloist on the concert and operatic stages both here and abroad.   After his European debut in Germany and Czechoslovakia, he made his Carnegie Hall debut at Weill Recital Hall singing works of Pottsville composer, Paul Miller.   Mr. Osenbach has soloed numerous times with the Schuylkill Choral Society, the Schuylkill Symphony Orchestra, the Bach and Handel Chorale,  the Reading Choral Society, the Choral Society of Northeast PA and appeared with the Philadelphia Chamber Symphony with renowned early music specialist, Julianne Baird.

Trinity Episcopal Choir
Trinity Episcopal Church has a small but very dedicated adult choir which meets every Wednesday evening at 7:30pm for approximately an hour and a half,  beginning at the end of August through June.  The choir sings at the 10:00am service each Sunday and at other special services during the liturgical year.

Each practice time is an opportunity to learn something new and to enjoy our time together.  We welcome new singers - you do not need formal training in music to be a part of our group. If you enjoy singing and can carry a simple tune, we warmly welcome you to join Trinity's choir.
